The First Dental Visit

Children are expected to receive their first dental visit by the time they turn one year old. Visiting the dentist at this young age allows children to become familiar with the setting early within their development. This establishes a level of trust and comfort for future visits.

The initial visit offers parents a chance to address any questions or concerns that they have about their child’s oral care habits. Our dental health specialists often provide new parents important information regarding issues, such as teething, cavity prevention, proper brushing and flossing, thumb sucking and more.

Complete Dental Checkups

The oral care experts at Cozy Family Dental are happy to provide children and teens with complete dental checkups. Just like with adults, it is very important for young patients to have their teeth and gums examined on a regular basis. These routine checkups give us an opportunity to look out for any possible dental abnormalities so that appropriate treatment can be given in a timely manner.

Our complete pediatric checkups include a professional teeth cleaning, X-rays and an oral cancer screening. We also provide parents with information on how to help care for their child’s growing teeth. It is our recommendation that all children receive a complete dental checkup at least once every six months.
